Meissen, around 1740-45. Oval form with small scroll-shaped handles and pine cone finial. Painted in light and dark iron red, shaded in gold: On the lid 2 phoenix and 2 large dragons between chinese emblems, the wall decorated on both sides with the dragon. Crossed swords mark, inventory mark in purple 'K.H.K.' (Königliche Hof-Küche). Min. firing cracks.
