E. studied since 1882 in Paris under E. Yon. After travelling she returned to Berlin in 1892, since 1894 she also lived in the Ahrenshoop artist's colony. She won a gold medal at the St. Louis world's fair. Since 1894 she exhibted regularly at the Große Berliner Kunstausstellung, but also at the Munich Glaspalast a. in Paris a. Dresden.
