Oil/cardboard, 53,5 x 69,5 cm, lo. ri. sign. a. dat. G. Rosen 1911, on the reverse inscribed 'Über dem Imatra' - Estonian landscape painter. R. studied architecture a. painting at the St. Petersburg academy 1874-78 a. painting at the Düsseldorf academy under E. Dücker 1883-86. In 1906 he became head of the Riga art school, in 1920 he moved to Germany.
