Oil/canvas, 34,5 x 47 cm, lo. ri. sign. Ed. Kalnins. - Latvian painter. K. studied at the Riga academy under W. Purvitis until 1931. With a scholarship he went to Rome for one year in 1935. Since 1945 he taught at the Riga academy, in 1955 he was made professor.
