Studies at the Dresden Academy, 1899 - 1903 teacher at the Kassel Academy, 1909 - 1929 at the Meissen manufactory, since 1912 as a creative director. Hösel ranks among the most productives designers of the Meissen manufactory and created numerous animals, figures of children and indianes, portrait and genre figures.
