Tempera/ivory, 10,5 x 7,5 cm, lo. ri. sign. I. Baumann, matted a. framed under glass, uninspected out of frame. - Swiss portrait a. miniature paintress. After attending the St. Gallen Kunstgewerbeschule she continued her studies in the studios of H. R. Kröh a. M. Schefer in Darmstadt. 1885-89 she studied at the Académie Colarossi in Paris. Since 1889 she worked in England, in 1900 she settled in Basel.
