B. studied 1947/48 at the art school Saarbrücken under K. Kunz, 1948/49 at the Stuttgart academy under W. Baumeister. Thereafter he lived in Munich a. Paris a. was taught engraving by J. Friedlaender. Among his numerous award was the Villa Romana prize.
