Northern Italy, Venice or Verona, 17th cent. Bronze with dark patina and black lacquer. An allegory of Africa is placed in the middle in the shape of a woman sitting on a lion accompanied by 2 torchbearing putti standing on a winged mythical creature. One torch and upper part lost.
