Gram (1878)'. - Provenance: Formerly ship owners family Gram, Oslo. - English marine painter, son of the marine painter William Gay Y. He came to Liverpool with his family in 1855 a. stayed there for the rest of his life. His detailed ship portraits were a success with sailors as well as with the audience of exhibitions.
