Meissen, 20th cent., the model from 1739. Polychrome and gold paint. Crossed swords mark. H. 24,5 cm. - German sculptor and modeller, since 1735 the second sculptor in Meissen beside Kaendler, before education in England (casting of plumb, brass, steel a.o. plus works in marble and ivory), thereafter 4 years working for the court sculptor in Dresden Vinage (helped with the statue of August the Strong in the Zwinger).
