Japan, Meiji-period (1868-1912). Porcelain. Bodied baluster form with lid and two dragon-handles. On each side a large reserve on a red-orange underground with rich gold ornaments. At the front a painting of hen and rooster, verso a bird's nest. At the neck large flower ornament. Cover handle in the shape of a lion with pearl, coloured in red and gold. Iron-red mark to the bottom. H. 40,5 cm. -
