Bronze with brown patina. On the reverse side of the plinth sign. 'EICHLER'. H. 52 cm, marble base h. 6 cm. - German sculptor and porcelain designer, completed an apprenticeship at the Meissen porcelain manufactory, then studied at the Dresden Art Academy by Robert Diez. He ran his own studio, but since 1903 he was employed by Meissen as designer. - For the porcelain manufactory he created around 70 figures and groups. Lit.: AKL 32, S. 514.
