Oil/canvas/fibre board, 22,5 x 20 cm, lo. ri. sign. L. Aumont. - Danish portrait painter. A. studied at the Copenhagen academy where he was awarded a medal in 1824. With a scholarship he continued his studies in Paris for three years. 1834-42 he lived in Hamburg. After the town burnt down in 1842 he returned to Copenhagen. 1853-65 he lived in the West Indies.
