Oil/canvas, 156,5 x 224 cm, lo. le. sign. and dat. Agghazy Gyula 1882, min. rest., relined. - Hungarian painter and musician. A. studied at the Budapest conservatorium and played in the orchestra of the National Theatre. At the same time he took drawing lessons, 1869-74 he studied at the art academies of Vienna and Munich. Thereafter he worked in the studio of M. Munkácsy in Paris. In 1897 he was made professor at the Budapest art academy.
