D. was born in Luga / Leningrad County. 1980-83 he studied in Odessa, later at the renowned Repin Academy in St. Petersburg, which he graduated in 1990. Since 1994 he is a member of the Association of Russian Artists. The versatile artist is geared to archetypes of Old Master paintings and techniques.
