Trufanov, who initially became an Orthodox priest, studied at the Academy of Arts in Kostroma 1983-85. Later he became drawing teacher in Togliatti. Since the 1990s, he participated in numerous exhibitions in Berlin, stays abroad took him to Switzerland, France and Russia.
