Oil/canvas/cardboard, 32,5 x 24 cm, lo. le. monogr. F.K. - Painter and graphic artist in the tradition of the school of Barbizon who had a preference for motifs from the Hamburg Harbour. K. studied at the Düsseldorf and Karlsruhe Academies under G. Schönleber. He became professor in Berlin, thereafter in Karlsruhe. K. won numerous awards, since 1910 he was director of the Große Berliner Kunstausstellung.
