Paris, around 1880. Colourless glass with polychrome enamel decor with gold, in the shape of Arabic vases of 10th cent. H. 19 cm. - Literature: Similar, but signed copy in Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris (inventory no. 10350-0000-). - Provenance: Acquired at Gallery Atelier D.L., Jonquerettes (F); private collection, Hamburg. - French-Portuguese enamel artist, working in the nineteenth century tradition influenced by Islamic designs, since 1878 exhibiting regularly at the World Expo, received multiple awards. Mus.: Musée des Arts et Métiers, Paris.
