Around 1920. Gilt bronze and carved ivory. Stepped and green speckled marble base, sign. to the front side 'L. ALLIOT' (incised and gilt). Repaired. H. 20,5 cm (figure), h. 12 cm (base). - French sculptor, grew up in a family of artists and was taught at the Paris Beaux Arts Academy by Louis Moureau, E. Barrias and M. Coutan. Style and themes of his works are versatile including classical genre scenes, religious items as well as Art Nouveau and Art déco themes.
