Norwegian landscape and portrait painter. F. studied 1937-42 at the Oslo arts and crafts school as well as at the academy. He is one of the most important Norwegian nature painters of the 20th cent. but also painted portraits, among others of members of the Norwegian royal family. Mus.: Oslo (Nat.
