Chinese pen a. ink drawer a. calligrapher. F. studied 1914-21 western art a. music in Hangzhou a. Tokyo. In 1920 he was co-founder of the pedagogic university of Shanghai. 1921-49 he was lecturer at several Chinese universities. Later he had important offices but was repeatedly harassed by the communist party. Inspired by Japanese mangas F. developed a very reduces style of great expression.
