Constantin Hansen (Rom 1804 - Kopenhagen 1880) - Sell & Buy
Danish history, figure and landscape painter. H. studied architecture at the Copenhagen academy as early as 1817, then studied painting under Eckersberg since 1825. With a scholarship he went to Italy in 1835 from where he returned to Copenhagen in 1842. He executed important public commissions, among others he painted the Copenhagen university.
