Serge Mendjisky (Paris 1929 - 2017) - Sell & Buy
French landscape painter. M. studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1947 and settled in Nice in 1949, where he met Picasso, among others. His late pointillist landscapes often show the southern French coast, but also city views of Paris, Chicago or Venice. He exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon d'Automne, among others, and also had numerous solo exhibitions in France and abroad. Mus.: Paris, Philadelphia, Moscow Lit.: Bénézit.
