Austrian painter. Z. studied at the Vienna Academy from 1961 and took part in Oskar Kokoschka's Salzburg Summer Academy in 1962. He initially worked as an art teacher. From 1975 he held a teaching position at the Vienna Academy, where he became a professor in 1987. Z. received numerous awards, including the Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art.
