Max Schmidt (Berlin 1818 - Königsberg 1901) - Sell & Buy
German landscape painter. S. studied under K. Begas and W. Schirmer, among others. He traveled to the Orient, Italy and Heligoland. From 1868 he was professor at the Weimar art school, from 1872 at the Königsberg academy. Mus.: Berlin (Nat.-Gal.), Cologne (Wallraf-Richartz-Mus.), Munich (Schack-Gal.) a. others.
