Meissen. Designed 1987/89, made soon after. Porcelain, coloured painted. H. 19,5 - 28,5 cm. Crossed swords marks, monogr. and dat. PS 87, 88 resp. 89, num. Ex. 068/150. 5 pieces: clown with saxophon (h. 20 cm), clown with harmonica (h. 28,5 cm), clown with violin (h. 21 cm), clown with guitar (h. 23,5 cm), clown with drums (h. 23,5 cm) - German sculptor and porcelain modeler, studied at the Dresden Academy and was from 1973 until 2001 artistic director of the Meissen manufactory where he influenced substantially the artistic program. Since 2001 he worked as a freelancer and created numerous models for the Schwarzburger Werkstätten and the manufactory of Volkstedt-Rudolstadt.
