Berlin. End 19th cent. Silver, marked 800, halfmoon and crown, manufactory mark: V in a circle. Girandole in rococo style, domed stand on 3 volute feet, rich relief decoration of rocailles, C-shaped cartouches and leaf volutes, eight curved candlestick arms and a crowning candlestick in the center, all with removable, screwed eaves bowls and candle holders. H. 68 cm, weight approx. 4800 g - Berlin silverware factory of Franz Gustav David Vollgold (1810 - after 1867) and Christof David Vollgold (1775-1859). The former became the Prince Regent's goldsmith in 1860.
